Job Summary

The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that Childcare Solutions provide a caring, secure and stimulating environment for children between the ages 4 to 11 years. Providing for their social, recreational and educational needs. This is carried out through individual attention and group activities, and organising an appropriate range of learning and leisure activities.

The post holder will be responsible for developing and scaling the Childcare Solution provision to children and parents within East London, by developing and maintaining relationships with schools, social services, local government and key stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities

Business Development - New Business

1. Identify and build relationships with New School within LB Waltham Forest and other East London Boroughs.

2. Identify additional offerings and develop implementation plans with Project Director.


Business Development - Existing Business

1. To promote high profile of organisation and uphold its standards at all times.

2. Maintain and build relationships with Schools already utilising the Childcare Solutions Provision.

3. Discuss issues and/or additional needs to enhance the provision and discuss feedback with the Project Director and relevant Site Manager(s).

4. Monitor Safeguarding and Health and Safety within the sites.

Quality of Provision

1. To ensure that the Childcare Solution experience is the same across all locations.

2. To ensure that the provision adheres to OFSTED regulations and guidelines.

3. To facilitate cross site working and knowledge sharing.

4. To undertake any necessary training including business related courses.

5. To undertake such other duties and responsibilities of an equivalent nature as may be determined from time to time by the Project Director.


Safeguarding and Child Protection

1. Referring cases of suspected abuse or allegations to MASH or the LADO based in the relevant local authority

2. Acting as a source of support, advice and expertise within the organisation.

3. Ensuring all staff and volunteers have access to, and understand the organisation's Child Protection policy and procedures.

4. Ensuring that all new staff and volunteers have proper induction to policies and procedures.

5. Supporting the recruitment of staff and volunteers.

6. Attending appropriate training

7. Ensuring parents are made aware of the Safeguarding and Child Protection policy which alerts them to the fact that referrals may be made and the role of the establishment in this to avoid potential conflict.

8. To ensure confidentiality if information received.


Activity Planning

1. To provide a safe, creative and appropriate play opportunities including preparing activities, organising programmes and plans and arranging resources and equipment.

2. To ensure that all activities are carried out within an equal opportunities framework.

3. To ensure in the delivery of EYFS, this includes written observations, monitoring and maintaining profiles.

4. To undertake any necessary training including a nationally recognised play-work foundation course.

5. To ensure adequate resources are available for the delivery of EYFS.

6. To manage termly budgets for each site.

7. To encourage community wide participation and activity planning delivery.
